For Tertiary Students
Students of Cyber
Are you studying cyber at TAFE or Uni? Or considering a career in cyber? Join Students of Cyber (SoC), CyberWest Hub’s student community to expand your network, link up with industry professionals and discover insights into cyber security from their career journey.
We meet on the first Tuesday of every month with a networking event hosted by a cyber business. Its a great way to meet industry, learn from one anothers career journeys and get tips for landing your first job.

Cyber Queens
Join us for Cyber Queens, designed specifically for women and non-binary tertiary cyber students.
Are you a female or non-binary cyber student? Cyber Queens aims to connect you with a broader cyber community beyond the classroom, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging you to pursue your studies and career in the cyber sector.
At the start of each semester, Cyber Queens by CyberWest Hub will host a welcome event to help new students connect with fellow students, industry professionals, and networking groups.

Cyber Cup
CyberCup is ideal for students who are interested in the cyber security industry or who have a keen interest in pursuing a computing pathway.
Over two days, guided by industry-leading mentors, students in years 7-9 immerse themselves in a cutting-edge design thinking framework. From ideation to pitch, they collaborate in teams to dissect real cyber problems and create novel solutions.
The next session is 15 & 16 April 2025.

PeCan+ CTF
PECAN+ is a national cyber security Capture The Flag (CTF) competition developed and managed by the School of Science at Edith Cowan University (Western Australia). The Competition is open to Australian high school students in years 10-12.
This collaborative initiative brings together higher education institutions, cyber security industry, teachers and students around an aim of raising cyber security awareness, skills and aspirations.

Australian Schools Cyber Challenge
The ASCC not only sharpens students’ cyber security abilities but also promotes digital skills and educates them about potential careers in cyber security.
From February to June, teams of students in years 7 to 12 compete in a series of hyper realistic cyber challenges, learning essential theoretical knowledge and practical skill development to test their cyber security capabilities via an online learning platform.
